Holiday wishlist meme

As usual, snagged from my good friend Paxie :)
Step One:
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered…whatever you’re comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun (“I’d love a Snape/Hermione icon that’s just for me”) to medium (“I wish for _____ on DVD”) to really big (“All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.”) The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it’s your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it’ll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two:
- Surf around your friendslist (or friends’ friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here’s the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it’s in your heart to do so, make someone’s wish come true. Sometimes someone’s trash is another’s treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don’t want or a gift certificate you won’t use—or even know where you could get someone’s dream purebred Basset Hound for free—do it.
You needn’t spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn’t to put people out, it’s to provide everyone a chance to be someone else’s holiday elf—to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not—it’s your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just…wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you’ll have the joy of knowing you made someone’s holiday special.
Paxie's Addition: Make a list of wishes for your friends!
My wishes:
1. A new desktop, particularly an iMac :)
2. A new iPhone 4S for Verizon so I can get on a family plan with Ken
3. Another external hard drive or two, cuz mine are getting way full.
4. Either full-time hours at Naperville or a full-time job somewhere. To finance wedding y'know ;)
5. Big Finish audios! I have hardly any. I particularly would love Fourth Doctor or Romana audios. :)
6. Wedding planning books/stuffs :D Particularly the Offbeat Bride book!
7. More months on my website paid for (either money to fund it or pay MidPhase directly, either way I'd love more time that I don't have to pay for)
8. Photoshop or another decent graphics program (no, GIMP does not count as "decent" in my book)
9. iTunes or Starbucks gift cards!
10. Anything from my ThinkGeek Wishlist or Amazon wishlist.
Wishes for friends:
1. A new laptop or desktop for Carole, cuz she needs one to keep editing Squeecast on!
2. A cleaning fairy to descend upon my fiance's house cuz it needs it.
3. A job to bring Doug to Chicago :)
4. A job to bring Tammy & Jim to Chicago :D
5. A new better-paying job for Joanna
6. A job for Carole
7. Nerdist coming to Chicago long enough for Paxie & I to meet him!
8. A productive 2012 for the Ghostbusters: Chicago Division team :) both in Ghostbuster work & our personal lives
9. New or better jobs for all my other friends that need them
10. A happy, healthy, drama-llama-free 2012 for ALL my friends!
