Welcome to 2009!!
I don't know how much I'll be keeping up my journal, what with two Library Science classes, but I'll try! :) I'm taking Organization of Knowledge and Reference and Online Services this semester, and looking forward to them!
I am registered to attend my first American Library Association Annual conference this July! Feel free to message me if you're attending as well and want to meet up. :)

About me? Well I'm a 29-year old lifelong science fiction geek who loves to read voraciously, write when the muse hits me, craft like there's no tomorrow, cosplay any chance I get and currently is beyond obsessed with Torchwood and Captain Jack Harkness! I have a BA in Mass Media & Theatre, and have just begun working on a Master's in Library and Information Science (leaning toward Technical Services but I'm just beginning so that may change). I spend far too much time online, and when I'm not planted at the computer I'm likely knitting a Dalek, sewing a costume, walking around Chicagoland in a costume, or hanging out in the Edgewater neighborhood with my friends.
I also spend some of my spare time working with A Reasonable Facsimile Theatre Company. I ran lights for the Christmas show and hopefully will be doing the same for the next production, Clitoris Stories by Tina Haglund (opening later this year!). We also do a monthly staged television rerun series at The Spot on Broadway, and I've been helping with that. It's a blast -- staged readings of different television shows. So far we've done a variety of shows including Lavergne & Shirley, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Married With Children, Joey, Perfect Strangers, and more!

I'm on Facebook and MySpace but please let me know you're from LJ (and your LJ name), I turn down friend requests from ppl I don't know. You can also find me at the Anime Central Forums or Cosplay.com or Torchwood Writer's Union board when I'm not here! (I'm KnitChick or KnitChick1979 almost everywhere)
My NaNoWriMo 2008 stats (for as long as they'll stay up)
