It's what I *should* be doing, too.

And what are these bentos (bento?) of which you speak? I perused eat_my_bento which I found on your info page (yes, I occasionally stalk people's groups . . . and more often, icons) and what I gathered is that they're adorable packed lunches. But I highly doubt "bento" is Japanese(?) for "adorable packed lunch which also looks pretty."

On the other hand, The Tale of Despereaux, while quite different from the book, was an adorable film. (I heart Netflix!) And I've probably overused "adorable" in this comment—but it was.

Actually bento pretty much *is* a packed lunch that also looks pretty :)

A big part of Japanese cuisine is making stuff healthy, delicious and pretty at the same time. So bentos will be well-balanced healthy meals with all the food groups covered and the right amount of calories for the person eating it, but will be packed to look pretty, sometimes even making a picture. It's really cool!

I really need to rent Tale of Despereaux, that looked adorable. There's a LOT of movies I need to catch up on. Thank goodness my library doesn't charge for video rental anymore! :D

Oh, fun! Except when I pack a lunch it's generally just a sandwich with some fruit (and perhaps crackers and a small bit of chocolate) . . . which I haven't done in a while—other than for bus trips home—as I'm on the meal plan at school. In the summer I'll be off the meal plan (since the dining hall won't be open) so I'll have to cook (I'm on the fourth floor, the kitchen/laundry room/computer lab are in the basement). Hopefully I'll have a job, in which case I may or may not have to pack a lunch (depending on when I'm working and suchlike). ::crosses fingers::
