Yeah I really should be working on my novels. But not yet :)
So today is the Undergraduate Research and Creative Investigations Exposition at Dominican. It's basically showing off big research projects. A lot of people have big poster displays in the Parmer Atrium, plus there's an art show in Lewis with food :D Then there's four rooms with oral presentations going, single speeches and also panel presentations. There was a message on the MyDU page (like the main page for school news) that they needed people to run the cameras for $$ so I said sure! I'm in the room that's mostly panels.
So far I've seen (and recorded) a panel about whether international law can stop genocides, a panel talking about how self-explanation can help with studying (complete with experimental evidence, pretty cool!) and now it's a panel of three students talking about what they have gleaned from this poem "Piers Plowman."
I'm here til 3:30, then I'll probably go to the performance at 4:15 (an adaptation of a Chaucer tale). Then class at six.
I've got Ianto sitting on the table next to the school's MacBook (which is doing the grunt work of recording) but I can't motivate myself to open the novels. Or my reference class paper. Argh.
Oh yeah and I'm playing with my layout. :) Awesome header by
