Five things you may (or may not) know about me meme
Another meme, I got tagged in this one a while ago by ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
huskyfriends, she created the meme and her post is at her journal here.
It took me a while to try and think of stuff and also get some pictures. :D
1. I am a left-foot braker when I drive. My ex-bf used to complain but hey, it's an instinct that I cannot seem to shake. Besides, I can brake faster than anyone else so ha!
Wasn't easy to get a picture of this but I tried! :)
2. I used to be in gymnastics, when I was younger. I was actually pretty good, I have quite good balance. Unfortunately I was diagnosed with mild lower lombard scoliosis (curvature of the spine) and had to quit :(
This picture kinda stinks cuz it's a photo of a photo in my mom's scrapbooks.
3. I love carnival rides, and I somehow never get motion sick. Friends and family members, however, do. :) I don't like heights but I'm a huge fan of anything that goes in a circle (dizzy? what's that?) One of my #1 favourite rides of all time are the swings, I first went on them in Holland, Michigan. And got my uncle sick. :D

4. I'm a reader, always have been always will be. Looking through the albums trying to find the gymnastics photos I stumbled on so many reading prizes and certificates and such. My library had this "I read 100 books" program when I was little and I finished it in like second grade in record time. I still have buttons from some of my earliest summer reading programs, and I still try to earn something in summer reading every year to this day.
The coolest reading thing for me, though, was Battle of the Books. I didn't know until recently it wasn't just a local thing, but I always thought it was so cool. So of course when I was in 5th grade (I believe) I was ecstatic that Giles (my school) finally decided to field a team. The fact that my best friend's mom was our coach didn't hurt ;) Our first year we got second place, pretty good! Then our second year we were FIRST PLACE. After that I had to leave cuz of age limits :( but our team went on to achieve first place two more times so Giles became the first team to earn the travelling trophy for keeps!
Again, stinky pictures of pictures.
5. I love collecting badges. Mostly convention badges, or Roadeo badges (I volunteer for the Chicago Transit Authority's bus roadeo every year...or at least I did, they didn't hold it this year), and I've recently started picking up cool geeky fandom badges at cons. I could almost do a picspam post of this item alone, but I'll just share one picture I took recently showing off the core of my collection that hangs on my computer desk. This includes the badge from my first American Library Association conference, my last Roadeo badge, my three years of Anime Central badges, my Bleach collector badges from the Bleach photoshoot at Acen 08, and my collection of geeky badges (including a TARDIS parking permit, Admiral Al Calavicci's Quantum Leap Project badge, Jack and Toshiko's Torchwood Institute badges, and more).
